We would like to thank everyone for your continued interest and  participation in our herbal workshops making them a true success! 

Gather  round friends! The Seasons are changing, and we'll be experiencing much  cooler weather soon! We are going to step into Granny's kitchen and  dive deep into the time-honored art of
 

Appalachian folk medicine,  crafting two potent oxymels to soothe winter's pesky coughs, colds,  sniffles and chase away the winter's chills. With cherry bark to hush  that tickly throat and Mahonia's (Oregon Grape) golden inner bark to  bolster your spirit, you'll be brewing up remedies as old as the hills  themselves. You'll be rolling up your sleeves and filling your jars with  two tangy, medicinal preparations, made with love.

This is a way that we can also honor our own Granny's. Keeping their traditions alive and continuing to pass this knowledge on.

We'll  also discuss other winter remedies that Granny will use for a variety  of different ailments. Whether you are a seasoned herbalist or just  curious, this workshop will wrap you in the warmth of community and send  you home with remedies to keep you and your friends & family at  their best through the cold season.

As  we mix and mingle for this Appalachian winter-themed workshop we'll sip  on fragrant herbal teas and nibble on tasty refreshments.

Print-Outs will be available as well as recipes.
Be sure to bring a sharp knife to work with (medium-sized)
Your favorite cup or mug to sip on herbal tea
Something to write with/take notes in

To  add a bit more fun I ask that if you have a small trinket or treasure  you'd like to share..maybe even a recipe, to show and tell this would be  a wonderful addition!

This event is scheduled for Central Time Zone. Be sure to show up a little early to get settled in and enjoy an herbal beverage
and refreshment. This is going to be a fun hands-on workshop!
